We quote any prototypes, components, assemblies, piece parts, and/or fabricated piece parts separately. We specialize in quick lead time machining and fabrication from many varieties of materials utilizing our full CNC Machine Shop.

Defense Contractors Design
Cohagan Engineering’s roots began as a government defense contractor specializing in aerospace and military tooling. We understand the government requirements in regards to design and manufacturing. We can assist your firm in Defense contracting design contracts and will ensure you stay within budget with project completion on schedule.
Scaled Prototypes
To save on manufacturing costs we can scale a full size prototype. For example we helped develop an off road axle prototype. The Full Size unit is almost 6 feet long, 3 feet wide and 1 foot high. The prototype was scaled down to 12" long x 6" wide x 2" high. Thus saving the builder thousands of dollars while still proving the design and allowing feasibility studies.
Reverse Engineering
We can reverse engineer almost anything from a physical part. If you can send us a sample, we can manufacture your finished product to meet your specifications or a worn or partially destroyed part. You can email a 3D hand drawing, pictures with descriptions, anything with detail will help us make it possible. If you can tell us the purpose for the item we can help with its construction and design.
Designing for Optimized Manufacturing
Tolerances and surface features including Radii liberally applied only when and where required insures the cost of manufacturing is kept low and within budget figures. Designs when possible use standard "off the shelf" components. Designs also utilize standard machining operations as much as possible.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY/PATENTS
All patents and intellectual property rights arising directly from our work belongs exclusively to our client.
CONFIDENTIALITY/CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Because of the nature of the business, we maintain all information provided by clients in strictest confidence. We communicate any possible conflict of interest before moving forward in the quoting process. A standard Non-Disclosure Agreement is signed prior to all projects.
